Rough cut

This is our rough cut. We've used still shots which we took a couple of weeks ago to show what moving image is going to be there.
The close-up shots of the guitar are existing shots zoomed in. However we understand this makes them grainy and that we need to re-shoot these shots at a later date.

What We Need To Do After the Rough Cut

Here we have composed a list of what happens or will need to happen after the rough cut after half term:

- We will need the extra day of filming to improve/add to our music video sequences. This will include footage of the road and singing while driving.

- Improve and add certain transitions to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the completed music video.

Test Footage

This is some test footage I did while away this weekend to see how the travelling aspect looked visually and whether it would be a good method to use in our video.

1. This is on the Metro Line in Newcastle, it was to test how footage from a side window would appear.

2. This clip is of the car journey on the way home and to see how footage looking forward out of the windscreen would look.

response to feedback

really good constructive criticism, helpful for future blog work.
we can use some of the feedback to develop our blog into more visual and appealing pages that consist of various bold images and videos.
we intend to extend our blog and improve our quality and quantity of visual i.e. videos and images fro the internet that relate to similar artists and genres.

our result, we are pleased with the feedback and understand that constructive criticism was needed, we now know what is expected and can fulfill that before we end up to far behind.

BLOG FEEDBACK BY GROUP 25

STORYBOARD

Clear, bold images make it easy for the viewer to understand their video concept. Easy to follow the images make it possible to create a mental image of how they will piece together, complimented by to-the-point descriptions.

RESEARCH AND INFLUENCES

Wide range of video snippets from you tube provide a glimpse of some of the ideas the group wish to use, although a seperate description by the side of each clip would have benefited the viewer. Too many film music videos and not enough actual videos produced by artists i.e. the Miley Cyrus video for Bolt animation.

CONCEPT FOR THE VIDEO

Good, in depth description of their video concept Settings and location, linked with appropriate images showing what they mean.

Blog Peer Feedback

1. Research into similar bands -
There doesn't seem to be lots of research, so maybe you could produce some more. The way you have talked about other videos is great but maybe you could talk about the band themselves too.

2. Storyboard and timeline -
There is no storyboard or timeline up, but we can see it on the table and it looks good, just get it on the blog. There is a good description of storyboard but more visuals needed to attract attention.

3. Test Footage -
There is not any footage on your blog yet so perhaps thats something to think about.

4. The Concept of the Video -
Your idea of the video seems really good and exciting. We hope it goes really well and you get the result you want.

Early storyboard ideas

We wanted a performance based video where a story is also incorporated.
Here are some examples of this and videos that have inspired us:

We also looked at the way animation can be put into a video with live footage.
We like the way this was done, but decided aainst it as we thought it would be extremely challenging.

Reply from Charlene Soraia, the Artist of Daffodils.
